Advantages of the PLATO pit cover model

The PLATO maintenance pit cover model is an improved version from its MODULO predecessor.  Designed with ergonomics, safety and practicality in mind, this safety device for workshop pit offer a multitude of advantages including:

• Cover: This workshop pit cover is designed according to your needs, but always to meet the strictest safety requirements. It has non-slip rubber strips, an anti-pinch system and can support 1500 kg/m² for the non-drive-over model.
• Motorization: the motorized pit cover powered by electricity or compressed air includes, in addition to the elements mentioned above, an emergency stop device as well as a sound and light signal which activates when the cover is closed.
• Storage: Pre-set and easy to install, the pit cover storage up to 25 meters long takes up minimal space with a pit depth of only 1.3m
• Rails: The rails are equipped with a non-slip edge and a polymer strip as well as lacquered in yellow. There is a universal model, a model designed for a new pit and a model suitable for angles and pits with straight edges
• Detachable trays: This cover model offers an option of detachable trays that can be converted into a walkway and offers a new work space

A pit safety cover capable of supporting heavy loads

This vehicle inspection pit safety cover includes all of the above, but features higher strength and load capacity.  Indeed, it resists a weight of up to 6.5 tons, i.e. the wheel of a loaded truck.  Thus, the truck can roll and maneuver without problems on the deployed pit cover.

At the time of installation, the Dalis Pit Covers team tests to check the load which the pit cover will resist, doubling the usual load of the said workshop where this device is installed.

Possible integration of a grating to optimize ventilation

Any workshop pit must have a ventilation system, given the exhaust gases and toxic substances that settle there.  Extracting stale air and bringing in fresh air is therefore crucial, and the integration of a grating makes it possible to optimize this ventilation within the pit.
